Matt a graduate from Royal Northern College of Music has led the band through the busy summer period and has done a great job.

The band has played one or two of Matts arrangements  and these have been very well recieved by summer audiences.

The band members presented Matt with a Thankyou card and a pair of cufflinks.
The band would like to say a big Tintwistle  " Thankyou " to Matt and we do hope he will keep in touch.

Special mention for 2 man percussion team

The Percussion requirements at the area contest called for 3 percussionists, but unfortunately due to illness Tintwistle Band had to manage with two.
One major problem was the anvil which was needed frequently in the second movement. Luckily Simon our percussion player is an engineer and was able to make an anvil operated by a foot pedal.

It clearly worked very well.

Well done to Simon Barrow and Jack Parker for managing to get all the parts in against the odds.
Also congratulations to Jack on his recent 18th Birthday.

Terry McMyler who was poorly before the contest is now recovering well.
